  2. International Criminal Court (ICC): Established by the Rome Statute in 2002, the ICC is an autonomous global tribunal that indicts individuals for war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, and the crime of aggression.
  3. The United Nations Human Rights Committee (UNHRC): This assembly of independent specialists is tasked with overseeing the implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) by its State parties.
  4. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR): This institution is entrusted with the mission of safeguarding and aiding refugees, asylum-seekers, and internally displaced persons across the globe.
  5. Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT): Enforced since 1970, this accord endeavors to inhibit the dissemination of nuclear weapons and foster collaboration in the pacific utilization of nuclear energy.
  6. The Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI): Initiated in 2003, the PSI constitutes a worldwide effort to curb trafficking in weapons of mass destruction, their delivery apparatuses, and associated materials.
  7. The Arms Trade Treaty (ATT): Ratified in 2014, this treaty seeks to institute shared international norms for the regulation of global trade in conventional arms, with the intent to thwart and eliminate illicit arms commerce and avert their diversion to unauthorized recipients.
  8. The Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC): Effective since 1997, this treaty aspires to abolish an entire class of weapons of mass destruction by proscribing the development, production, procurement, stockpiling, retention, transfer, or utilization of chemical weapons.
  9. The Biological Weapons Convention (BWC): In effect since 1975, this treaty forbids the development, production, and hoarding of biological and toxin weapons and mandates their annihilation.
  10. The Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide: Adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1948, this convention delineates the crime of genocide and obliges its signatories to avert and penalize acts of genocide.
